Position Overview: The Senior Financial Analyst provides critical ongoing reporting and data insights to assist the Director of Finance and the Executive Leadership team in making decisions about the Company's financial status and future. This position reports directly to the Director of Finance and will work closely with the Finance and Accounting, Inventory Costing, Production, Sales and Information Systems teams. High-level analytics required to provide insights into costing and pricing information. In addition, the Senior Financial Analyst will produce accurate and timely reporting related to operations and the company's financial performance. The successful candidate will utilize strong leadership and management skills, business acumen, and solid communication skills to become an effective partner at every level of the organization to understand business objectives and provide insightful reporting, decision support analysis, and forecasting in support of those objectives.
Serve as key support for forecasting, annual budget, long-term planning, and analytics for a variety of functional groups
Develop and manage product pricing and customer proposals process
Develop, deploy, and communicate on-going monitoring of relevant business metrics, across financial and non-financial areas
Provide timely periodic and ad hoc financial reporting results to management team, analyze and communicate variances to plans, and provide performance improvement recommendations Facilitate business planning efforts within assigned groups to ensure optimal implementation and on-going management of business models
Provide support for month-end close activities and financial reporting within established deadlines, including monthly reporting of production activities, department cost results and variance analysis
Identify, investigate, and resolve potential issues within tight time constraints
Perform industry analysis of competitors, trends and external bench marking of key operating and financial metrics
Create and update SOP's on Costing Procedures
Train Team Leads on Costing Processes
Prepares Daily Sales Flash Report & Cash Position Report
Analyze costing data and suggest appropriate pricing models that ensure profitability across products and services
Maintain of Production Management Activity Report
Prepare, review and submit all pricing quotes 5 to 7 times per week; maintain proposal database
Develop and align Production Management Activity Report with internal Profit & Loss Statement
Prepare monthly financial reporting and analysis
Responsible for reporting as required by government agencies
Assists with audit requests and "Prepared by Client" schedules as needed
Required Bachelor Degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited University
Required minimum 3 years of documented experience in Cost Allocations
Required minimum 3 years of documented experience in Price Modeling
Direct experience in cost allocations, pricing, financial modeling, forecasting and budgeting
Knowledge of the main components and drivers of income statement, balance sheet and statement of cash flows
Financial reporting skill sets to synthesize large amounts of data and information for presentation of resulting insights to business partners and executive leadership
Detail-oriented, excellent work ethic, positive attitude
Ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects effectively in a fast-paced, rapid-change, high-energy environment
Demonstrated results-driven orientation
Ability to self-manage and prioritize workload to meet delivery deadlines and solve complex cost and pricing problems
Advanced expertise in Microsoft Excel
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrated solid leadership skills and the ability to think critically
Prior project plan & project management experience considered a plus
Good analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Manufacturing industry experience is helpful
Salary: up to $75,000+ (based on experience)
